The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Gaetz’s status in the House and the Ethics Committee report
Gaetz is once again holding onto his seat by the skin of his teeth. The House Ethics Committee report, in its infinite wisdom, has not cleared him of the allegations against him, but pointedly did not say the evidence suggested he should be expelled from Congress. Neither did it say his conduct was consistent with that of a lawmaker. The report is the Hitchhiker’s Guide to Matt Gaetz’s current status in the House—full of maybes and could-bes, but lacking any clear direction.
